L'AMICA DI MIA MADRE / ECCO LINGUA D'ARGENTO OST CD

Quartet Records, in collaboration with Sonor Music Editions, proudly announces the CD release of scores by Alberto Baldan Bembo for two erotic comedies directed by Roberto Ivaldi and starring Roberto Cenci and Carmen Villani.

"L'AMICA DI MIA MADRE" follows Billy, a teenager frustrated by his girlfriend Andrea's disinterest in sex and fascination with cock fighting. The arrival of his mother's recently divorced friend, played by Barbara Bouchet, might just be the change he needs. Baldan Bembo captures the whimsical life of the exasperated teen with lively Latino dance tunes.

"ECCO LINGUA D’ARGENTO" continues with the same couple, Billy and Andrea, as they travel to Egypt. The plot introduces psychologist Emmanuelle (no relation to the famous character) who attempts to resolve the long-standing tensions between them. Baldan Bembo enriches the narrative with a vibrant African funk-inspired score, reminiscent of his work on "VELLUTO NERO."

These two scores were originally released on rare and highly sought-after LPs, which Sonor Music Editions recently reissued. While there was a previous CD release by Easy Tempo, it omitted several tracks from both scores. This new release marks the first-ever complete CD edition of both LP programs. Produced by Claudio Fuiano and mastered by Chris Malone, the album comes with a richly illustrated booklet featuring liner notes by Gergely Hubai, discussing the films, the composer, and the scores.
